Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
This supervised position will allow for a Supply Chain Services student who is interested in a career in the power industry to apply and enhance their knowledge. This position will require the individual to work a normal day shift. This job will be based out of the Calpine Corporation Corporate Office (Houston, Texas). This position may require office or work from home hours.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with contract renewals
- Assist with spend data and contract clause evaluations prior to renewals
- Assess Supplier Record in ISN and D&B and provide results to the contracts, legal, insurance, and safety teams.
- Monitor upcoming renewals and prepare amendments as needed
- Review Supplier records in Coupa Supplier Portal as needed basis
- Shadow Contracts Specialist on New Contract Negotiations

Job Requirements
- Pursuing Law Degree, at least Second Year Law Student
- Prefer GPA of 3.25 or higher.
- Qualified candidate must be a rising second or third year law student and be actively enrolled at an accredited law school at the time of internship.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Full-time or part-time position
- Excellent oral, written and communication/presentation skills
- Has strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Collaborates well with cross-functional group.
- Good organization skills and attention to details are essential
