Introduction
ASML is a leading provider of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry, employing nearly 32.000 people in 16 countries. Its success is based on four pillars: technology leadership combined with customer and supplier intimacy, highly efficient manufacturing and entrepreneurial people.
ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers-the world’s leading chipmakers-to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.
Sourcing & Procurement represents ASML’s sourcing, logistics and quality interface to its supply base and is responsible for material availability for ASML’s factories. In today’s complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by creating full transparency in the chains and flexibility at suppliers. ASML has grown a factor 2 in the past five years. This kind of scaling affects our own organization, but also the way we work with suppliers. To ensure continuity of supply we established a supplier risk management process which, amongst others, includes business continuity at our suppliers. In your role as business continuity specialist you will ensure that our business continuity requirements are communicated to our suppliers, collaborate with suppliers and internal team members to ensure that business continuity plans are defined and followed through as needed, and timely feedback and support to our suppliers is provided. In your role you are the linking pin between ASML’s internal (Sourcing Leads, Category Managers, Corporate Risk Managers) and external stakeholders (Suppliers, Insurance Company).
Would you like to be part of our Sourcing & Procurement department? Are you interested in a career as risk specialist, responsible for driving business continuity efforts at our suppliers? Are you solution oriented and looking for a comprehensive approach ensuring business continuity, risk mitigation and performance improvements in the organization?
ASML is searching for a risk management intern to join its international Sourcing & Supply Chain organization, with a specific focus on supporting the step up in supplier business continuity management. You will be working in the business support team consisting of business matters experts for contract management, security, IT projects and process improvement project leads.
