Responsibilities include conducting industry benchmarks, feasibility studies for RFID technology, and researching foil quality for heat transfer processes. We are currently seeking motivated and creative students who are eager to explore new areas of product development and process improvement. As a PPAG intern, you'll contribute to impactful projects while gaining hands-on experience in garment decoration and promotional products.
Available Projects for Interns

  • Industry Benchmark on DTG Print Equipment & Competitor Print Shops
    • Time frame: October - March
    • Scope:
      • Develop a supplier questionnaire to analyze costs, quality, and workflow.
      • Collect and visually evaluate samples, performing wash tests.
      • Compare costs to current equipment and report findings.
      • Make recommendations that align with our technology roadmap.
    • Available input: Previous benchmark reports, TCO calculations, and quality data from local teams.


  • RFID as Preview Label Replacement - Feasibility Study
    • Time frame: Flexible
    • Scope:
      • Conduct a market search for RFID chips that can uniquely identify garments.
      • Map out the process needs and evaluate cost/ROI.
      • Explore the feasibility of a field test if ROI is under 1.5 years.
      • Collaborate with our software development team to assess the effort required to load RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) data.
    • Available input: No prior information; this is a ground-up research opportunity.


  • Influence of Foil Quality on the Heat Transfer Process
    • Time frame: Complete by March 2025 (before FY26 budget round)
    • Scope:
      • Research market options for foil/paper used in heat transfer processes.
      • Investigate the impact of foil parameters on product quality and process settings.
      • Evaluate cost vs. quality for different foils and predict how "powderless" transfers will shape the market.
      • Provide recommendations on foil and related equipment for future use.
    • Available input: Supplier information, supplier test results, and internal process analyses.
