Job Description:

Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking undergrad or graduate level students actively pursuing a degree to join our 2027 summer internship program. This nine-week program will be fully in-person and expose interns to the day-to-day activities of an Analyst in Global Client Group’s Operations department.

The GCG Operations Intern (Data & Tools) will support several sales enablement and asset reporting initiatives that are critical to the firm’s strategic sales efforts. The internship will provide exposure to a variety of teams and their projects. The internship will include activities related to accuracy of internal data systems related to client assets, cash flows, and sales enablement products, including our global CRM system.

This role sits across the Global Client Group (GCG) Operations’ Business Data and Tools teams, whose mission is to enable the CRM ecosystem to drive the business processes and insights needed to create a holistic view of Dimensional’s global client relationships. The GCG Operations division supports the day-to-day operational needs of the Sales group in the areas of business insights, technology product management, intermediary relationships, client onboarding, reporting, and administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively complete day-to-day responsibilities and tasks largely based on direction and support received from others
  • Collect and analyze data to support various sales goals and campaigns
  • Basic understanding of underlying systems used to generate standard reporting
  • Effectively communicate product activities, presenting in small forums and team meetings
  • Help maintain and improve process maps and documentation regarding sales data governance
  • Assist with developing business intelligence capabilities for enablement of US sales channels, which include RIAs, broker dealers, banks, institutions, retirement plans, and consultants
  • Identify areas to improve data automation and partner with colleagues to implement solutions
  • Proactively communicate needs, challenges, and capacity
  • Develop a robust understanding of Dimensional’s investment philosophy and process

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.2; pursuing an undergraduate or specialized Master’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 - June 2028
  • Coursework in information systems, computer science, or finance/accounting is preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in helping sales teams make process-driven, data-informed decisions
  • Documented analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to gather requirements amid ambiguity
  • Interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Work equally well in a team environment and independently
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented – ability to apply analytical and decision-making skills in a collaborative environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and general computer skills with the ability to learn additional computer applications as needed
