Purpose of the Role
This internship is designed to give a motivated student their first practical experience in a Finance environment within a multinational organization. The intern will support both the FP&A team and the Data Analyst in daily activities, gaining exposure to:

• Financial planning & analysis (budgeting, forecasting, reporting)
• How financial performance is measured and managed
• Data manipulation, structuring, and visualization
• How Finance collaborates across business units to drive insights and decision-making

The intern will develop hands-on technical skills while building a strong foundational understanding of how finance contributes to business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. FP&A Support

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and performance dashboards for local management and headquarters (aligned with processes described in FP&A roles).
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by gathering inputs, validating data, and updating templates.
• Help with variance analysis: comparing actuals vs. budget, identifying trends, and highlighting deviations.
• Participate in improving and standardizing recurring FP&A processes and documentation.

2. Data Analysis Support

• Support data extraction, cleaning, and preparation from various business units (e.g., pharmacy, hospital datasets).
• Assist in maintaining Power BI dashboards and Excel reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Learn to identify patterns and opportunities through data, contributing to insight generation.
• Help ensure data integrity and structure across FP&A processes (consistent with existing role requirements).

3. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and other business teams.
• Observe how insights are communicated and how financial and data-driven decisions are made.
• Learn how to translate data and numbers into clear, simple messages for stakeholders.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, the student will have:

• A practical understanding of FP&A cycles (month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting).
• Experience working with real-world financial data.
• Proficiency in Excel and exposure to Power BI.
• Knowledge of how financial analysis supports business decision-making.
• Greater confidence working in a professional corporate environment.

Required Profile
Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (referenced in similar roles requiring finance/data programs).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interest in both Finance and Data.
• Basic Excel skills (motivation to learn more is enough).
• Curiosity and willingness to learn FP&A processes.
• Analytical mindset and good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and proactively ask for guidance.
• Good communication skills.
