As a International Tax Relief at Source Manager within the Client Tax Operations team, you will report to the Senior Operations Executive responsible for International Tax Relief at Source, Tax Documentation and Client On-Boarding. You will be responsible for management of the Tax Relief at Source team with oversight and execution of operational tax activities associated with the Tax Relief at Source product suite.
Job responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to a team of Professionals, building a world class team that can support the Client Tax Operations OKRs
  • Advance an inclusive leadership agenda by building a diverse team, coaching and mentoring potential leaders, and actively engaging on the firm's agenda on diversity and inclusion
  • Engage, motivate and influence direct reports, teams and peers to enhance overall employee engagement and retention
  • Ensure the team maintains a strong and stable operational environment with robust controls and a strong focus on risk mitigation
  • Install a data-centric mindset across the team
  • Maximise tax relief at source opportunities for clients through adherence to SLAs and process enhancement
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive strategic enhancements to operational processes
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues and enquiries related to tax relief at source, collaborating with Tax Product, Network Management and Sub-custodians where necessary
  • Ensure SOPs and SLAs are frequently reviewed and updated to ensure consistency and adherence to policy
  • Represent the Client Tax Operations Utility in regional management / business forums

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Equivalent work experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong people manager skills
  • Data literate and knowledge of Intelligent Automation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of International Tax Regulations and Processes
  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Strong focus on risk and controls including ability to restructure processes and procedures
  • Capable of managing multiple competing priorities and stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple locations
  • Tax or Accounting qualification
