Essential Job Functions
- Prepare workpapers, schedules, forms, informational returns, etc. related to US international corporate income tax return filings (Forms 926 US Transfers to CFCs, 1118 FTC, 5471 CFC, 5713 International Boycott Report, 8858 FDRE, 8991 BEAT, 8992 GILTI, 8993 FDII, 987 calculations, DCL certifications) and foreign corporate income tax return filings, including estimated and extension payments. Review foreign income tax returns, annual reports, and other filings prepared by third-party providers.
- Prepare annual income tax provision for foreign jurisdictions for US GAAP (ASC 740) financial statements and for foreign financial statements (IFRS, etc.). Prepare documentation of workpapers, filing methodologies, effective tax rate, net operating loss (NOL) carryforwards, statute of limitations (SOL), deferred tax assets (DTAs), and deferred tax liabilities (DTAs).
- Prepare international indirect tax workpapers, filings, and returns (VAT, GST, Intrastat, etc.).
- Prepare and assist with US and foreign transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions, including gathering intercompany transaction detail and editing transfer pricing reports (economic analyses, benchmarking comparables, reasonable methods, reasonable markups, etc.). Prepare Form 8975, County-by-Country Report, etc.
- Prepare filings, applications, etc. related to foreign corporate income tax withholding exemptions or waivers for the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Prepare Forms 8802 Application for US Residency Certification (Form 6166) annually for the Company’s US subsidiaries.
- Prepare FinCen Forms 114 Foreign Bank Account Reports (FBARs) for the Company and for US Persons with signature authority over foreign bank accounts.
- Respond to foreign tax authorities tax audit and informational inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare forecast and estimates for cash tax analysis.
- Keep up to date on current tax practices, technical issues, and changes in tax law to perform ongoing monthly review and analysis of all tax-related transactions and liabilities in the general ledger to ensure proper reporting of tax-related expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Perform tax research and assist with tax planning analysis.
- Actively support and participate in planning and decision-making for on-going process improvement specific to the Company’s tax accounting and tax compliance processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field required.
- Current CPA license, CPA candidate, Masters of Tax strongly preferred, but not required.
- 2-3 years of prior tax experience including domestic and foreign tax compliance in a public accounting firm or medium to large company with multiple subsidiaries.
- Will consider as a senior international tax analyst with 4+ years’ experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat required. Advanced Excel a plus.
- Prior experience with CorpTax software and NetSuite Oracle ERP financial reporting software a plus.
- Ability to use various tax research tools, including Bloomberg, CCH, Westlaw/Thomson Reuters, etc.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, and support business objectives, a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, task-oriented, and a self-starter.
- Ability to interface with all departments. Positive and professional demeanor, proactive, and a team player.
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where no two days are the same. Strong time management skills are required.
Skills Required
