Job Summary
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for undertaking compliance related activities to ensure adherence with policies and procedures, regulatory, legislative and general requirements for applicable entities throughout The Maritime Financial Group. This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. Team Members may perform other related duties to meet ongoing or one off requirements of the Entities within the Group.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks to facilitate reporting or fulfilling of requests to CBTT, FIUTT, TTSEC or any other legislative or regulatory body.
- Formulate policies and procedures as assigned.
- Oversee the update and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Undertake general compliance reviews, report on findings and follow through on recommendations.
- Review, analyze and report on compliance related matters.
- Perform or assist in executing special investigations.
- Assist in the resolution of queries.
- Conduct and or assist in any training undertaken by the Group Compliance Unit.
- Research regulations by reviewing regulatory websites, bulletins and other sources of information.
- Contribute to team effort by participating and or completing related team endeavours as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Group Compliance or any other authorized member of the Group Compliance team.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Perform administrative or other duties to ensure the efficient function of the Unit.
- Assist in the strategic planning, team activities and meetings of the Unit.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum 5 CXC O'Level passes inclusive of Grade 1 or 2 in Mathematics and English A and
6 CAPE passes or an equivalent diploma or professional certificate
A first degree in a related field
Formal training in AML/CFT/CPF, policy and procedure writing or business law would be an asset
Experience
Minimum 3 years in a regulatory compliance environment
