Internal IT Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer at Blumira, you'll be a key player in keeping our platform secure and building customer trust. You'll use your skills to identify and mitigate security risks, and help us scale our business in a safe and responsible way. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on the security of Blumira, and build out modern forward looking initiatives.

• Working closely with Engineering and Product as a resource to help achieve secure systems and safe choices
• Use the foundational tooling we have in place to identify and help remediate potential gaps faster, further up the development lifecycle, and in a scalable manner
• Be open to try new ideas, tools and techniques
• Be the eyes, ears, and voice of Security, with all things security
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the secure integration of platforms such as our Data Warehouses, Customer Support tools, and Business Operations
• Ensure we have a strong foundation in platform security and the necessary safeguards in place to grow and scale securely

• You can read and understand a wide range of languages like Go, Python, YAML, JSON, and Javascript
• Comfortable with security architecture inside cloud platforms and SAAS infrastructure like GCP
• You enjoy working in fast paced SAAS companies
• You are comfortable and effective at communicating in fully remote environments
• You enjoy working with others to help people make secure choices
• You are driven by continuous learning and a curiosity that has no limit
• You have a history in securing SAAS companies
• Experience with a SIEM or SOC is a plus
• Education in IT/Computer Science or Cybersecurity and/or other industry certifications are a plus
• You are comfortable with autonomy, and ownership of key parts of our security program.

Salary: $90,000 - $130,000
