What will I be doing?
Kaluza is a global Climate Tech business. As our Head of Internal Communications, you are the architect of our internal culture. Your mission is to bridge the gap between our complex technical strategy and our global workforce, ensuring every employee - from London to Tokyo is aligned - informed, and inspired by our mission.
This is a senior role for a “ Strategic Connector”. You will sit at the intersection of the Growth, People, and Executive teams, turning high-level strategy into a cohesive internal narrative. We need a strategist who also loves to build – someone who can design a global comms framework on Monday and draft a compelling company-wide keynote on Tuesday.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Narrative: Partner with the Executive Team to translate company strategy and technical milestones into human-centric internal narratives.
- Next-Gen Channels: Lead the evolution of our internal ecosystem. You will identify and deploy modern platforms that move beyond traditional intranets to foster real-time, global engagement.
- AI Integration: Actively explore and implement AI and AGI tools to streamline workflows, personalise internal messaging, and gain deeper insights into employee sentiment.
- Global Engagement: Lead the end-to-end communication strategy for company milestones, wellness, and recognition, ensuring initiatives resonate across diverse international time zones.
- People & Culture Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the People Team to scale employer brand advocacy and reinforce a culture of recognition.
- Operational Excellence: Own the internal comms calendar and budget. Establish data-driven frameworks to measure channel effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Unified Global Voice: Work in lockstep with the External Comms and Marketing teams to ensure our internal and external stories are seamless. You will ensure that what we say to the world is lived and understood by our people.
- People Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team. You are a natural people manager who creates an environment of high accountability, growth, and psychological safety.
About You
You are a creative, senior-level communicator who knows how to make the complicated easy to understand. You bring a hands-on approach and are happy to roll up your sleeves to turn a vision into a finished product.
Ideally you’ll have/be:
- 8+ Years Experience: Proven track record in senior internal or corporate communications roles, ideally within a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
- High Vision, High Execution: A creative writer and strategic thinker who can "cut through the noise" and present complex information via sophisticated slide decks and narratives.
- Exceptional People Manager: You have a reputation for building and upskilling teams. You are as invested in your team's development as you are in the company's mission.
- Future-Proof Mindset: A proactive curiosity about how emerging technologies can transform internal connectivity. You don’t just manage channels; you reinvent them.
- Executive Presence: Comfortable advising the Executive Team and acting as a trusted partner to the Chief Growth Officer.
- Technical Aptitude: Tech-native with a hunger for learning. You are comfortable navigating and implementing new tools, from AI-driven content platforms to modern community hubs.
- Alignment: Employee engagement data shows a deep understanding of Kaluza’s mission and strategy across all regions.
- Innovation: Successful implementation of AI tools or new platforms that measurably improve comms efficiency or reach.
- Cultural Impact: Delivery of high-impact engagement campaigns (Values Awards, Milestones) that reinforce our employer brand.
- Operational Clarity: A structured, predictable internal comms rhythm that reduces noise and increases clarity for all staff.
