OUR MISSION

Imagine building a better healthcare journey for patients with cancer, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for patients but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Thyme Care’s Internal Communications Manager, you will operate at the intersection of corporate communications, executive strategy, and people team initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll ensure internal messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned across all levels of the organization—from executive priorities to the employee experience.

We’re looking for a strong writer and communicator who can fluently tailor messaging for executive, corporate, and Care Team audiences. You thrive as an independent contributor who’s comfortable with ambiguity, energized by collaboration, and motivated by impact. You see communications as a strategic lever for connection and clarity—bringing focus to what matters most as Thyme Care grows.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how working at Thyme Care is experienced and understood through clear, intentional communication at every stage of the employee journey. This includes optimizing systems, strengthening transparency, and helping every team member understand how we’re progressing toward our goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to executives and senior leaders, translating priorities into clear, actionable messaging that aligns teams and reinforces company strategy.
  • Develop and reinforce company narratives that connect business strategy, culture, and employee experience, ensuring that what we communicate internally reflects how we show up externally.
  • Lead communications for key company moments, including executive briefings, quarterly meetings, and all-hands—driving everything from narrative development to prep and follow-up.
  • Drive change communications across company-defining milestones and day-to-day moments of change—from strategic shifts and executive updates to People, IT, and Operations initiatives. You’ll help leaders think beyond the message to the impact, designing communication strategies that not only inform but influence behavior and build alignment.
  • Audit and optimize communication systems to create living frameworks that evolve with the company. You’ll assess how, where, and when we communicate; establish standards and best practices; and build sustainable rhythms that move us from reactive to proactive.
  • Identify and lead our knowledge hub strategy, evaluating and migrating to a centralized intranet or platform that makes information easy to find, share, and use. You’ll quarterback the process end-to-end and set clear expectations for functional partners to ensure content is accurate, current, and widely adopted.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, partnering with People, Operations, and External Comms to ensure every message—big or small—reflects Thyme Care’s mission, values, and priorities.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • 6+ years of experience in internal, corporate, or executive communications—or another writing-intensive role—ideally within fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
  • Written and edited with precision and purpose, creating clear, concise, and impactful narratives across channels—from live events and executive briefings to company-wide announcements and Slack messages.
  • Partnered directly with executives and senior leaders to translate complex strategies into compelling stories that align teams, influence behavior, and drive clarity across the organization.
  • Designed and scaled communications systems—channels, cadences, and workflows—that improved alignment, transparency, and employee experience in distributed, hybrid, or care-based teams.
  • Thrived in ambiguity with operational discipline, balancing strategy and execution to deliver high-stakes communications, manage change, and keep teams informed, inspired, and focused on what matters most.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Background in healthcare, value-based care, or another mission-driven industry. Based in Nashville preferred.
  • Extremely organized (gets energy from roadmapping, planning, envisioning the path forward, and acting on it).
  • Able to think and do-someone who can both generate ideas and implement them.
  • Able to balance speed and quality, with an acute sense for what matters most in a given moment.
  • Experience standing up or managing intranet platforms or message repositories.
  • Exposure to crisis communications or organizational change management.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Fluency across audiences: You can seamlessly adapt your voice for executives, care teams, and corporate functions—ensuring clarity, alignment, and impact across all levels.
Comfortable with ambiguity: You thrive in a dynamic, scaling environment where priorities shift quickly, and you use good judgment to make decisions independently.
Executive presence: You have the confidence and discretion to work directly with senior leaders, offering guidance, shaping narratives, and influencing outcomes.
Builder’s mindset: You bring energy from creating new systems and standards, not just maintaining them. You know how to design infrastructure that scales across a 700+ person (and growing) organization. You are able to balance multiple workstreams with precision and calm.
Feedback-driven growth: You actively seek input, refine your approach, and model a growth mindset—setting the tone for continuous improvement.
Attention to detail and project mastery: You are meticulous in execution, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and polish in every deliverable. You excel at orchestrating complex, high-stakes projects with precision and foresight.
