Scheduling and Gas Movements

• Assists the Scheduler in soliciting transport nominations from Shippers

• Assists Scheduler in daily gas movements

• Works with Control Center (CC) to monitor gas quality

• Prepares and issues notifications, waivers and/or refusal to receive off-spec gas from Shippers

• Performs contract validation and hydraulic validation

• Supports the Scheduler in scheduling gas transport and notifying Shippers

• Addresses intra-day changes to nominations and perform revalidation

• Assumes Scheduler role when he is absent

Transactions Documents 
• Ensures that gas contracts are entered into GMS and tariffs information are in accordance with requirement of gas contracts

• Prepares and validates monthly gas statements

• Prepare invoices including relevant gas transportation charges in accordance with the gas contract

• Submits invoices to the Accounts Receivables team with supporting documentation

• Investigates quality or quantity claims from Shippers and works with the Supervisor for settlement

• Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with Shippers to achieve business results

Invoice Collection 
• Collaborates with finance to monitor and track receivables from shippers

• Issues late payment notices to Shippers and escalates overdue accounts

• Monitors credit exposure to shippers and implement payment protocol models as appropriate to mitigate credit risk and ensure timely payment

• Supports the investigation of customer claims after accounting close and supports in the resolution of the claims

• Prepares weekly gas transportation and credit performance reports

Report and Administrative duties 
• Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly gas movement activities report for Management.

• Prepares and submits monthly gas movements volumes to WAGPA

• Provides input into corporate planning activities

• Coordinates internal activities and participates in value chain coordination meetings (Business Process Proceedings, Shipper engagements, etc.) as planned among the parties

• Maintains a good relationship with Producers and Shippers to understand their forecast and the impact on WAGP

• Engages Shippers to resolve inquiries in a timely and friendly manner

• Issues notifications as they relate to gas contracts to shippers, WAGPA and key stakeholders as and when needed and acts as a single point of contact for WAGP Shippers

Working Experience and Academic/Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration. Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in gas contract administration or energy sector operations. Understanding of pipeline commercial operations, including capacity management, nominations, allocations, and reconciliation processes.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Degree preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in gas contract administration or energy sector operations
  • Understanding of pipeline commercial operations including capacity management, nominations, allocations, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience performing contract validation and hydraulic validation
  • Experience supporting scheduling, managing intra-day nominations and revalidation, and acting as scheduler backup
  • Ability to prepare and validate monthly gas statements and prepare invoices with supporting documentation
  • Experience collaborating with finance/accounts receivable to monitor receivables, issue late payment notices and escalate overdue accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with Shippers and Producers and resolve inquiries/claims
