At Cencora, we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures. As a Summer 2027 Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a professional business environment while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience within our IT team.
Throughout the internship, you will work on real business initiatives, collaborate with team members and leaders, develop professional skills, and contribute to projects that support Cencora's purpose of creating healthier futures.

Location: Carrolton, Texas
This internship is designed for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, end users, and technical delivery teams
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items
• Support definition of product scope, priorities, and roadmap aligned to business goals
• Partner with developers, architects, QA, and UX teams to help design scalable and effective solutions
• Assist with managing and prioritizing the product backlog based on business value, risk, and dependencies
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional workshops
• Ensure traceability from business objectives through to delivered technical solutions
• Support solution design by clarifying workflows, integrations, data needs, and system impacts
• Review technical proposals and provide business context to support decision-making
• Validate delivered features against requirements, acceptance criteria, and user expectations
• Support user acceptance testing, defect triage, and issue resolution
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Analyze data, business rules, and operational workflows to recommend optimized solutions
• Monitor delivery progress and communicate scope changes or impacts to stakeholders
• Assist with release planning, implementation readiness, and post-launch support
• Track product performance, user feedback, and enhancement opportunities
• Maintain key documentation including process flows, requirements, decisions, and release notes
• Support compliance with governance, security, and enterprise technology standards
• Promote collaboration, transparency, and shared understanding across business and IT teams
• Support ongoing projects, reporting, analysis, or process improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners.

• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and internship program activities.

• Present project outcomes, recommendations, or key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.

Education and Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Business Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Rising sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the internship preferred

• Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of Agile, Scrum, product ownership, and business analysis concepts
• Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements and actionable deliverables
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in product delivery, digital transformation, and process optimization
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, SQL, Excel, or similar tools is a plus
• Strong SQL skills
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn.

• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
