Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
The Calpine Community Energy IT Application Support team is seeking two Software Developer Interns to assist with both the maintenance of business-critical software systems and the implementation of enterprise-scale applications. These interns will help expand the team’s development capacity while supporting ongoing modernization and operational reliability initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn and apply technologies including C#, SQL, and Microsoft Azure
- Develop web-based software applications
- Learn and contribute AI initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions to complex business challenges
- Gain exposure to the retail energy business sector and its supporting technologies
Job Requirements
- Working towards a degree in information systems, computer science or similar fields with minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future for any company.
- Familiarity with: object-oriented programming languages, such as C++, C# or Java
- Requires excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, goal oriented, and able to learn independently.
- Requires problem solving ability and sufficient knowledge of system analysis skills.
- Must possess initiative, decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
Salary Information
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour
