Intern, Sales Development Representative

Work with the sales development group to help reach companywide goals. Develop knowledge about our environmental business through exposure with our global direct sales and marketing departments. Focus is on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments. LI-COR’s internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.

Undergraduate student currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in the sciences, mathematics, statistics, or business.

• Team player - enjoys and works well with others in a team environment.
• Possess effective written and oral communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for finding and identifying those who “want to learn more”.
• Willing to take personal responsibility for tasks with a “get it done” mentality.
• Must be detail oriented and record data accurately.
• High ethics, integrity, honesty, and patience.
• Dependable, self-motivated, positive attitude, ability to work independently and good attendance.
• Basic understanding of science related concepts or completion of introductory level science course preferred, but not mandatory.

• Assist sales manager and team with sales and market research to help find leads. Use knowledge gained about the market to assist in planning future strategies.
• Assist with development and maintenance of customer relationship tools.
• Participate in the development of both internal and external sales materials.
• Help the team prepare for customer visits, tradeshows, and workshops.
• Identify market trends, including competitive activities, to assist in growing our business.

• Responsible for work normally performed by an entry-level professional employee.
• May be provided additional training.
• Sedentary Work-Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
• Other job-related duties as required.
