We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience developing software used in the development and manufacture of laser diodes.
The Software Engineering Intern will support the development and maintenance of software used in engineering and manufacturing environments. This role provides hands‑on experience across the software development life cycle while working closely with experienced engineers and developers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of ASP.NET web and Windows desktop applications, including user interface design, database development, and back‑end functionality
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering through testing and deployment
- Support and troubleshoot existing software to help identify bugs, improve performance, and enhance functionality
- Collaborate with team members to document code, processes, and technical solutions
- Gain exposure to source control practices and development best practices
Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in an engineering degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline at an accredited college or university
- Coursework and/or academic project experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and relational databases (MS SQL Server or similar)
- Basic understanding of debugging, database concepts, and user interface design
- Familiarity with source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a team environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and with guidance from mentors
- Russian language knowledge is a plus
