Nighwing is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting a variety of engineering tasks and projects under the guidance of senior staff.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Assisting with the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
- Conducting basic engineering calculations, data analysis, and field surveys.
- Preparing and updating technical documentation, reports, schematics, and design drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Building and testing prototypes using common laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Troubleshooting and resolving minor operational problems in electrical systems in collaboration with other personnel.
- Researching industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., National Electrical Code), and new technologies relevant to ongoing projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical engineers, project managers) and participating in team meetings.
- Performing other duties and assisting with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program (ABET accreditation preferred).
- Completed at least two years of study in a relevant program.
- Strong academic performance (a minimum GPA of 3.0 is often preferred).
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical simulation software (e.g., SKM, ETAP) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of taking direction and working effectively in a team environment.
