Job Description

The Customer Response Engineering Intern will have a high-impact engineering project focused on improving how engineers investigate anomalies and deliver value to customers. Working with experienced engineers and team members, you will design and implement software, automation, or AI-driven capabilities that improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency. You will be responsible for delivering measurable goals and customer impact while gaining hands-on experience solving real-world engineering challenges.


This role is located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio and does not provide relocation assistance. Ideally, this internship will be full-time from June-August and would remain on part-time throughout the school year.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the team's processes, workflows, systems, and engineering tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and partners to understand project requirements and goals
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy a software, automation, or AI-driven solution
  • Work with data from multiple systems and engineering tools to enable automation
  • Document solutions, implementation details, and recommendations for future enhancements
  • Present project results, key insights, and growth to engineering leadership
  • Manage a meaningful project that improves team productivity and customer outcomes

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience developing software solutions using Python, C, or C++
  • Experience integrating applications through APIs, SDKs, databases, and other engineering tools
  • Experience analyzing data from multiple systems to develop automation and workflow improvements
  • Knowledge of software design, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Experience with GitHub and source control practices
  • Familiarity with AI, generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems, or large language models
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Located within 50 miles of the Mayfield Heights, OH location
  • Can stay on past August in a remote, part-time capacity during the school year
  • Graduating December 2027 or later

For this role, the hourly compensation for this role is $20-32. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
