About the Role

As an Android Application Development Intern, you will support the design and development of simple demo applications based on Android 16. You will work closely with the software engineering team to build prototype apps, validate basic features, and support technical demonstrations for internal review, customer showcase, or platform exploration purposes.

This role is ideal for students who are interested in Android application development, intelligent cockpit software, automotive technology, and AI-assisted software development. You will gain hands-on experience in building Android apps, integrating basic UI and system functions, and using modern AI tools to improve development efficiency, problem analysis, and documentation quality.

What You Will Do

  • Support the development of simple Android 16 demo applications for proof-of-concept and technical demonstration purposes
  • Implement basic app features, user interfaces, and interaction flows based on team requirements
  • Assist in UI layout development using Android native components and modern development practices
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, issue analysis, code explanation, and documentation preparation

  • Explore and apply AI tools to improve demo development efficiency, while ensuring generated code and content are reviewed and validated properly
  • Support integration and validation of simple Android system or platform APIs, where applicable
  • Help debug, test, and optimize demo applications to ensure basic functionality and user experience
  • Prepare simple technical documentation, demo instructions, and development notes
  • Work with software engineers to understand requirements, clarify implementation details, and deliver assigned tasks
  • Perform other related software development or technical support tasks assigned by the team

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of Android application development
  • Familiar with Java or Kotlin programming language
  • Understanding of Android app lifecycle, UI layout, activity/service concepts, and basic debugging methods
  • Experience with Android Studio and Git is preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as coding assistants, AI chat tools, code generation tools, or documentation assistants
  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly to support software development, while independently reviewing, validating, and improving the generated output
  • Basic understanding of software development processes and coding best practices
  • Strong learning ability, hands-on mindset, and willingness to solve technical problems independently
  • Interest in automotive cockpit, infotainment systems, mobile applications, embedded software, or AI-enabled development workflow is a plus
