Key responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize SAP systems like ECC, S/4HANA, or BW. This position suits an analytical and proactive engineer dedicated to ensuring optimal SAP system performance.
SAP Performance Testing Skills
Understanding of SAP Architecture:
o Knowledge of the various layers of SAP systems (presentation layer, application layer, database layer).
o Familiarity with different SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP FI, SAP Basis) and their performance considerations.
o SAP Transaction Codes: Familiarity with performance-related transaction codes
o SAP Fiori/SAP Web
o Net Weaver Business Client
Performance Testing Tools:
o Experience with performance testing tools, such as:
NeoLoad: Especially useful for testing Java-based and web applications.
Project Administration: JIRA
Basic Scripting Skills:
o Proficiency in creating and customizing scripts to simulate user scenarios.
o Understanding of user transactions, load scenarios, and parameterization.
o Scripting language knowledge
Performance Monitoring:
o Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as:
Database Knowledge:
o Understanding of the SAP database architecture (e.g., Oracle, HANA, MSSQL).
Analysis and Reporting Skills:
o Ability to analyse performance metrics data, identifying bottlenecks and presenting findings in a clear manner.
o Proficiency in using reporting tools to visualize performance testing results.
Capacity Planning:
o Ability to perform capacity planning and forecasting based on load testing results.
o Understanding of resource utilization and scalability considerations.
Troubleshooting:
o Skills in identifying and resolving performance issues during testing.
o Familiarity with SAP error handling and problem resolution methodologies.
Agile Knowledge:
