Responsibilities:
- Oversee NetSuite and financial planning systems administration
- Manage accounting period close processes, including lock/unlock functions
- Review and approve journal entries while ensuring proper internal controls and segregation of duties
- Support system governance, compliance, and financial reporting processes
- Manage banking activities and cash transfers
- Oversee restricted cash transactions and fund transfers
- Review sales tax compliance and assess potential liabilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
- Calculate and allocate service fees
- Process commissions and related payments
- Lead fund accounting activities and reconciliations
- Maintain and improve reconciliation processes for restricted and designated funds
- Support annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting
- Provide financial analysis to support leadership decision-making
- Ensure compliance with donor and foundation requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Significant finance leadership experience within nonprofit, higher education, arts, cultural, or mission-driven organizations
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with NetSuite required; budgeting and planning systems experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interim or consulting capacity
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
