As an interface specialist you will be in the Howmet Engines Shared Services department and work in a close, cross-functional team environment supporting Howmet’s enterprise IT applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and configuring interfaces between multiple Howmet applications
- Troubleshooting interface issues
- Creating scheduled jobs/tasks using various tools
- Understanding Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and helping troubleshoot issues
- Managing sftp processes
- Analyzing data transfers and error messages to ensure data isn’t lost when issues occur
- Understanding manufacturing processes in multiple systems to understand data flow
- Creating/Maintaining interface documentation
- Interface testing
- Assist with converting Discoverer Reports to Orbit Reports and provide user support and training to Howmet users across the globe
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Management, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution. Will accept 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum of five years’ experience working at a helpdesk or in an IT user support role.
Experience in IT supporting manufacturing, engineering and quality functions
Experience with secure file transfer protocol (SFTP)
Experience with OSB, Automate, or JAMS is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
