Job Description:

The Cox Enterprises Intelligent Automation (IA) team is looking for an Intelligent Automation Engineer to join the IA Center of Excellence. As part of a team of Intelligent Automation developers, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our IA solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Coding and Development:

  • Lead the development of high-quality IA solutions, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on complex coding challenges.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and scalability.

Problem Solving:

  • Analyze and understand user requirements, translating them into effective and efficient IA solutions.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues to optimize performance.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance existing processes and IA solutions.
  • Provide level 3 & 4 support for production automations.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, ensuring the reliability and robustness of the software.
  • Implement and advocate for automated testing strategies.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other developers, to understand product requirements and goals.
  • Lead and actively participate in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations on project planning and strategy.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies.
  • Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain thorough documentation of code, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation for end-users and internal reference.
  • Complete project status and timekeeping reports as required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication is mandatory.

Job Qualifications - Experience/Education/Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline and 2+ years' experience in a related field; or 6+ years' experience in a related field
  • Experience or certification in automation technologies (RPA/IDP/Process Mining, etc.), with preference for UiPath or Microsoft Power Platform.

Preferred:

  • Agile, IT & DevOps experience and knowledge.
  • Experience in software development, preferably .NET, C#, VBA or Java
  • Experience within a center of excellence/shared services organization environment a plus.

Other Essential Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

Travel: Some travel for conferences or off-site training may be required.
