As part of our post-Series C growth, we’re excited to add a Backend Rails Software Engineer to our team, reporting to the Engineering Director for our Integrations team. As a Software Engineer at ThreeFlow, you’ll jump right in and work on our external RESTful API, as well as help us integrate third-party broker and carrier management systems into our product. Our team collaborates to plan and execute engineering projects that help ThreeFlow’s carrier and broker clients exchange crucial business data. Our tech stack is Rails, Postgresql, and AWS (terraform).
About the role

Collaborate with the engineering team to build and refine the external API that Carriers and Brokers can use to exchange data with our system.

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Rails code.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications by helping to identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.

Assist the team with managing often vague and ambiguous requirements that change regularly based on external third-party APIs and client needs.
About you
-
3+ years of experience building highly available web applications, with at least 2 of those years working with Ruby on Rails.

Experience integrating with third-party APIs.

Able to learn new concepts and complex business processes and translate them into maintainable application workflows.

Comfortable working on an agile team and helping to continuously improve team processes, performance, and predictability.

Thrives in a highly collaborative environment that includes frequent pairing and team mobbing sessions and is not shy about actively participating and contributing to team discussions and activities.
