Job Purpose
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that connect disparate systems, applications, and services within and outside the organization. This role focuses on ensuring seamless data flow, system interoperability, and platform reliability to support business processes. also works closely with cross-functional teams, provides technical expertise, and contributes to the optimization and scalability of integration platforms.
Job Description
1. Solution Design: Architect and implement integration solutions using platforms like MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, TIBCO, or Dell Boomi to meet business requirements.
2. Development and Configuration: Build, test, and deploy integration workflows, APIs, and connectors for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
3. Platform Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration platforms to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
4. Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, developers, and system administrators to gather requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
5. Security Implementation: Ensure integrations adhere to security standards, including authentication, encryption, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
6. Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex integration issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of operations.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for integration designs, processes, and configurations.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance integration processes, tools, and performance through automation or new technologies.

9. Follow and implement all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day-to-day Operations
10. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department and preparing requested reports to ensure continuity of work. Ensure being innovative, initiative and recommend new approaches related to own jobs.
Compliance
11. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal AAIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain AAIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience:
· For Sr. Engineer: 5-7 years of experience in software development or systems integration, with at least 3 years focused on integration platforms.
· For Engineer: 3-5 years of experience in software development or systems integration, with at least 3 years focused on integration platforms.
· Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade integration solutions.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel, Kafka, Informatica, Dell Boomi).
· Strong expertise in API development and management (e.g., REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid integration models.
· Knowledge of data formats (e.g., JSON, XML) and protocols (e.g., HTTP, FTP, MQTT).
· Scripting or programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for custom integrations.
· Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus).
Soft Skills:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Effective communication for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
Certifications (Preferred): ITIL Foundation.
