Skills Required
- 5+ years Java and Spring Boot microservices experience
- 3+ years deploying and operating services on Kubernetes (GKE or AWS)
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Hands-on JVM profiling and heap analysis experience
- Load testing experience
- Experience diagnosing memory leaks, triaging OOMs, and resolving P99 latency spikes in production
- Experience identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities (dependency/CVE scanning, patching)
- Experience with GitHub pull requests, branch protection rules, and code review workflows
- Strong understanding of Git branching strategies (GitFlow or Trunk-Based Development)
- Experience resolving merge conflicts and maintaining release branches
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience building microservices and scalable backend systems and designing REST APIs
- Experience participating in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD)
