What You Will Contribute:
The Integration Architect serves as Badger Meter’s primary technical integration lead for Full MDM implementations. This role supports customers with third‑party Meter Data Management (MDM) platforms by designing and delivering advanced, secure integrations that extend beyond file transfers to enable meter‑to‑cash billing, identity management, GIS, analytics, and other enterprise integrations.
This is a Hybrid role, having 3 days a week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Lead customer-facing integration design sessions for advanced and custom integrations between Badger Meter solutions and third‑party applications.
Design and implement ETL workflows supporting data exchange between BEACON and external systems.
Develop and deploy integrations within AWS MWAA and BEACON cloud environments.
Perform business systems analysis, including data validation, requirements definition, and software configuration.
Support continuous improvement of integration adapters and ETL infrastructure.
Import and validate historical meter read data from UAT environments or ReadCenter backups.
Lead and support integrations between Badger Meter systems and Utility systems
Perform bulk data extracts to support customer operations and reporting.
Partner with Solution Architects to design, document, and implement scalable integration solutions.
Assist Sales and Bid teams with RFP responses, solution scoping, and technical feasibility.
Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for scope, pricing, and implementation readiness.
Maintain working knowledge of utility industry platforms including Oracle MDM, SAP MDM, and other MDM and billing systems.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field (preferred)
3+ years of experience in software implementation, systems analysis, or integration roles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing Oracle SGG and/or SAP MDUS integration standards
Experience with cloud-based integration platforms
Hands-on experience in AWS-hosted environments
Experience implementing SAML-based SSO
Understanding of SOC 2 compliance requirements
Experience defining and conducting software security testing
Experience in Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement environments
Customer-facing experience delivering software implementation training
Technical & Professional Experience
Proven experience leading multi-party integration design sessions
Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and scripting
Experience writing technical and functional requirements
Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to customer-friendly language
