In the past years Hempel has entered the Insulation and Hydrocarbon PFP markets in order to enable differentiation and growth in the Oil & Gas segment.
We are currently building in-house Insulation and Hydrocarbon PFP expertise and one of the most critical areas is application. The solutions for these markets are different than the conventional coating systems and require specific competencies and capabilities.
This position is based in Spain but is also open to candidates located in other regions where Hempel has legal representation. It offers an extraordinary opportunity to report directly to our Segment Development Manager, CUIHH & Insulation.

- Being the expert when it comes down to application and equipment for Insulation coatings and Hydrocarbon PFP
- Providing training, both internally for commercial and Services teams and externally for contractors and applicators, on proper application of Insulation coatings and Hydrocarbon PFP
- Supporting field applications to ensure smooth, efficient, and successful completion jobs.
- Acting as liaison officer to key equipment manufacturers, including Graco and Wiwa.

- You’ll help prepare our global Services organization to support insulation coatings and hydrocarbon PFP, ensuring readiness across markets.
- You’ll tackle real challenges by resolving equipment availability at the country level, making a tangible difference in operations.
- You’ll see the impact of your work firsthand through the successful completion of insulation coatings and hydrocarbon PFP applications at customer sites.
We expect you to have:
- Experience in refineries, insulation, or paint application (preferred).
- Willingness to travel based on business and customer needs.
- Ability to manage coatings application projects.
- Good knowledge of application equipment and skills to troubleshoot spray pumps and guns.
- Confidence in working with contractors and applicators during training and application.
- Proficiency in English, strong problem‑solving skills, and an interest in sustainability.

Strong stakeholder management will help you build constructive relationships and maintain alignment across teams. Demonstrated project management and coordination will support the smooth progress of initiatives, while sound organization and time management will keep priorities on track. Being self‑driven and proactive will allow you to take responsibility and contribute meaningfully to our goals.
