Instructional Designer
Level Access, the leader in digital accessible solutions, has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer. The ideal candidate will have significant experience developing online learning courses and will possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
As Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing high quality training content for technical and non-technical learning programs for Level Access products and general accessibility concepts. You will report to the Director, Customer Learning, within the Product organization, with the primary role of focusing on eLearning content development.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production, editing, and instructional design of eLearning courses against regular deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with Product Managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and maintain training content for Level Access’ customers.
- Design, implement, and evaluate new and existing learning solutions.
- Implement feedback on materials and improvement to courses.
- Identify and develop learning solutions that best meet the clients’ needs.
- Export and test projects as SCORM packages.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in instructional design and adult learning,
- 3+ years’ experience developing eLearning content, using Captivate, Articulate, or other authoring tools
- Strong proficiency in English
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to deliver learning experiences with rapidly changing technologies.
- Have strong project management and communication skills so that stakeholders, teammates, and leadership understand timelines and milestones.
- MA or MEd degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field (near term Graduate acceptable) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience in application of instructional systems development methodology and adult learning principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to design universally accessible content
- Familiarity with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ("WCAG") preferred, but not required
