THE POSITION
The Coordinator Institutional Relations supports the Senior Manager Stadiums by coordinating and integrating stadium-specific public security and institutional requirements into central FIFA27 planning.
The role works closely with Stadium Authorities, public security agencies and relevant FIFA/FIFA27 functions to identify, consolidate and track requirements relating to operational space, staging, parking, logistics, accreditation, access, client groups and FIFA-funded or supported services. The Coordinator ensures that the stadium-specific implications of agreed public security arrangements are accurately reflected in Stadium Safety & Security Plans, Site Operating Plan inputs, drawings and other relevant planning documentation.
The role does not own strategic public security commitments and does not develop or command police operational plans. Public security authorities remain responsible for their own operations, while the Coordinator ensures that relevant stadium requirements, dependencies and implementation actions are appropriately incorporated into FIFA27 planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Stadiums Manager in coordinating central institutional and public security interfaces across all tournament stadiums.
- Identify, consolidate and track stadium-specific public security requirements relating to operational space, staging, parking, logistics, accreditation, access, command facilities, client groups and other relevant dependencies.
- Ensure the stadium-specific implications of agreed public security arrangements are accurately reflected in Stadium Safety & Security Plans, Site Operating Plan inputs, stadium drawings, action trackers and other relevant planning documentation.
- Coordinate with Venue Management, Transport, Accreditation & Access, Ticketing, Medical, Hospitality, Broadcast, Logistics, Workforce, Guest Operations and other relevant functions to resolve dependencies arising from public security requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant functions on public security accreditation, pass requirements, operational access permissions and vehicle/VAPP requirements affecting stadium operations.
- Support planning for FIFA-funded or FIFA-supported public security services, ensuring that scope, responsibilities, resource requirements and operational dependencies are clearly documented.
- Identify and escalate budget, resource or contractual implications arising from public security requirements to the Senior Manager Stadiums.
- Maintain an accurate central record of stadium-specific public security requirements, requests, decisions, responsibilities, outstanding actions and changes.
- Support the transition of local public security coordination to SSSMs as stadium operations decentralise, ensuring that relevant requirements, outstanding actions and dependencies are clearly handed over.
- Continue to provide central coordination and support after SSSM deployment where issues require cross-stadium consistency, institutional escalation or resolution of budget or resource implications.
- Prepare briefings, reports and planning materials for the Senior Manager Stadiums relating to public security and institutional requirements.
- Ensure that the role remains focused on planning integration and coordination and does not assume ownership of strategic public security commitments or responsibility for the development or command of police operational plans.
