Job Description
Citadel Securities Institutional Derivatives (CSID) consists of dedicated salespeople, traders, engineers, and quant researchers driven to modernize clients block trading experience in options. Started in 2019 to provide liquidity to institutional investors around the world in listed options, CSID's clients include hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies as well as pensions, endowments, foundations, and sovereign wealth funds. Citadel Securities' focus on providing an improved client experience with limited friction and bias, as well as its large risk appetite and pricing expertise, have allowed CSID to quickly become the most meaningful block options liquidity provider in the world.
To complete the client experience and enhance risk management, the team is excited to add expertise in fundamental analysis. In addition to talking to clients about markets, the Institutional Options Fundamental Analyst will share sales and trading commentary, data sets, and serve as a trusted advisor to institutions who are trying express their fundamental opinions using options. This opportunity will give interns the chance to collaborate and add to the design and implementation of the role which will blend fundamental and quantitative analysis to help drive increased client business and assist with risk management of the portfolio.
As an intern, you'll get to challenge the impossible in markets through an 11-week program that will allow you to collaborate and connect with senior team members. In addition, you'll get the opportunity to network and socialize with peers throughout the internship.
Your Objective:
- Develop in-depth fundamental knowledge of a sector or industry, as well as broad base knowledge of financial markets
- Identify pricing inefficiencies and collaborate with traders to monetize predictions
- Identify new sources of data and transform unstructured data sets into signals
- Own the information space you work within (i.e. large-cap tech) by monitoring trends in the marketplace
Your Skills and Talents:
- Strong academic background and demonstrated communication and collaboration skills
- A strong interest in financial markets and a desire to learn about both the macro and micro fundamentals that drive them
- Ability to collaborate and use limited information to think systematically and quantitatively
- Intermediate experience with programming, especially Python, as well as strong excel skills
- Intermediate writing skills and comfort in public speaking

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $3,300 to $4,000 per week. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
