Anduril’s Rocket Motor Systems group is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in McHenry Mississippi. The Rocket Motor Systems team designs, develops, and manufactures next-generation solid rocket motors for defense and space applications at Anduril.
As a Quality Inspector, you will evaluate and inspect our products to ensure that they meet the engineering requirements. The right person for this role has knowledge of manufacturing, measurement equipment, and inspection methodologies within a high-rate production environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- Review engineering drawings to understand and measure hardware key characteristics
- Collaborate with receiving, operations and program engineering to prioritize work scope
- Review standards, specifications, and processes
- Create and perform validations for tools and equipment
- Train to become certified to perform Nondestructive Test (X-Ray) in our full rate factory
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous work experience as an inspector within a production environment
- GD&T knowledge
- Root Cause investigation experience
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- US Person Status is required as this position needs to access controlled data
- Ability to obtain a Federal Explosive License through the US BATFE
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using a diverse set of metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, vision systems, laser trackers, electrical meters, balances, scales, load cells, etc.)
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience in an ammunitions and explosives environment
- Experience at a DOD contractor
- Experience working in a high-rate manufacturing environment
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
