This position will over-see and manage the job tasks for the set up of trailers to be loaded outbound and inbound with freight at the customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above listed position.
- Monitor (WMS) warehouse management system
- Setting dock locks
- Opening dock doors
- Setting ramps
- Sweeping trailers, verify complete, security checks
- Immediately report issues observed with trailers during unload (holes in ceiling or at joints protruding nail head catching strapping, off aroma or evidence of pests)
- Remove excess debris (verify clean)
- Building of portable bulkhead and proper placing
- Filling tasks in WMS
- Applying stretch wrap material if needed
- Verify equipment numbers. Verify load and seal numbers and escalating discrepancies
- Inflating airbags (fillers)
- Installing Kick Stops or other pallet securement devices
- Validated proper positioning of dunnage in trailer

- Comprehensive knowledge of all systems pertaining to tractor/trailer operations.
- Ability to read, write and understand specific instructions.
- Ability to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent experience.
