The Inside Sales Specialist/Customer Service position works hand-in-hand with customers and Outside Sales Representatives to ensure that product needs are processed accurately and in a timely manner. They deliver strong customer service and a willingness to expand their product knowledge to best help the needs of our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers who are calling in and placing product orders.
  • Interact with customers before, during, and after a sale, including taking phone orders and servicing walk-in customers.
  • Ensure that customer orders are entered and processed in a timely manner.
  • Verify order delivery method for accuracy.
  • Coordinate customer sales orders with Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Identify customer needs and suggest products that best fit their needs.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Plumbing and/or heating knowledge a plus
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Business math skills with understanding of profit margins
  • Willingness to learn new product knowledge.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position preferred.

  • May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular use of arms, hands and fingers to feel, grasp, type and reach.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period time.

  • Office atmosphere. Light to moderate noise (white noise, phones, printers, etc.)
