Position Summary:
At managed.com, we're a remote-first, global team. We're also AI-first, so finding practical ways to use AI is part of every role here.
As the Inside Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving business growth by proactively identifying new sales opportunities and engaging with prospective customers. You will work to understand their business needs, recommend tailored technology solutions, and guide them through the sales process.
What you’ll do:
  • Manage consultations, lead inquiries, upgrades, and sales opportunities across hosting and related infrastructure solutions
  • Build new business through consistent, targeted outreach to digital agencies, web studios, freelance developer groups, and technology-focused businesses
  • Use consultative discovery to understand business and technical needs before recommending shared, virtual private, dedicated, cloud, or migration solutions
  • Identify expansion opportunities within the existing customer base and develop relationships that support recurring account growth
  • Research prospective agencies, their technology environments, and likely pain points to tailor outreach and value propositions
  • Maintain accurate deal stages, forecasts, next steps, and customer notes in the CRM throughout short and extended sales cycles
  • Coordinate with customer experience, support, and marketing partners to align offers and deliver accurate, well-managed migration and upgrade handoffs
  • Manage standard prospecting and deal activity independently, escalating custom pricing or non-standard service requests when needed
  • Adjust working hours when needed to support clients and agency partners in relevant time zones while maintaining the team’s core collaboration hours
  • Support other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needs.
About you:
  • At least two years of experience in B2B outbound prospecting, new-business development, or agency-focused sales
  • Demonstrated success using cold email, phone outreach, and professional networking channels to engage technology-focused business owners
  • Working knowledge of website infrastructure concepts, including domains and DNS, SSL, shared and virtual private hosting, dedicated servers, and common resource constraints
  • Ability to listen, diagnose business and technical needs, and explain appropriate solutions without relying on a transactional sales approach
  • Experience selling to or working with digital agencies is preferred; relevant outbound success with technology-focused small and medium-sized businesses is also valuable
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the persistence to maintain a consistent outbound cadence while handling rejection professionally
  • Organized CRM and pipeline-management habits, with reliable follow-through on deal stages, notes, commitments, and next steps
  • Clear cross-functional communication and sound judgment when coordinating technical handoffs or escalating non-standard requests
  • Ability to learn new hosting products, internal systems, sales tools, pricing structures, and migration procedures during onboarding
  • Communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English, with other languages considered an asset
What we offer:
  • Remote-first work, with team members across many countries
  • Competitive pay, benchmarked against the markets we hire in
  • Room to grow, with real ownership of your work and support for professional development
  • Flexibility in how and when you work, within the core hours your team needs
  • Access to the AI tools you need to do your work, and the room to experiment with them
