We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships with new and existing customers.
DESCRIPTION
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting existing customers in a specific territory by focusing on building rapport and strong relationships with established business partners. In addition, the role requires a basic understanding of engineering plans and specifications, technical take-offs for RFQs, answering technical questions from customers, and maintaining a database of daily activities in Salesforce Lightning CRM. Must be a team player who can also work independently by managing their time for efficiency and high productivity while working with their Field Sales Engineer to meet monthly bonus targets in a designated territory.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Handle telephone and email inquiries related to RFQs, purchase orders, technical questions, and site survey and meeting requests.
• Maintain consistent contact, minimum of once every 60 days, with all Security, Electrical and HVAC distributor locations in the assigned territory.
• Regularly check to make sure each distributor location has adequate inventory blend and quantity to support the local customer base.
• Leverage the relationship with each distributor to uncover new integrator, contractor and engineering leads for the FSE.
• Analyze the Commission Pivot report each month and review performance with each distribution location manager.
• Utilize the Commission Pivot report to determine product cross-selling and up-selling potential with each distributor location.
• Analyze the Customer Detail Pivot report each month and assign FSE tags to new customers and existing customers that have not previously been tagged.
• Meet with FSE counterpart weekly to review territory performance and 90-day future trip plan.
• Schedule customer meetings for each FSE travel week.
• Follow up on all FSE visits, customer samples and drop-ship orders.
• Follow up on leads from each national and regional tradeshow.
• Assist the Sales Team, as required, to meet company goals and objectives.
• Work well within a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 3+ years electrical and/or low-voltage industry experience required.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of CRM Management (Salesforce.com) required.
• Foundational understanding of technical documentation.
• Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Strong phone presence and experience dialing 30+ calls per day.
• Ability to effectively communicate and quickly build rapport with customers.
• Ability to learn quickly to understand the product/service offered and to communicate features and benefits during sales calls.
• Excellent verbal and written and communication skills, including active listening and presentation skills.
• Ability to demonstrate persistence, overcome objections, and maintain positive energy and attitude.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Highly self-motivated and goal-orientated.
• Ability to perform all functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
