We’re looking for our next Business Development & Training Associate to join the Inside Sales Team in Barcelona. You will manage and develop a portfolio of Italian schools while also building new business opportunities over time.
The role combines consultative sales, hands-on teacher training, and customer success responsibilities. You'll spend as much time helping teachers get the most out of Edpuzzle as you will closing new business. Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, this person will work closely with the Regional Manager EMEA and other regional stakeholders to execute the strategy for Italy, support schools throughout the customer lifecycle, and strengthen Edpuzzle's local presence. The role requires someone comfortable navigating the specifics of the Italian education market, including public school procurement and government-linked partnerships.
About the job
Own a portfolio of Italian schools and manage the full customer lifecycle — prioritizing engagement, retention, and renewals, identifying at-risk accounts, and coordinating timely action to improve renewal outcomes.
Deliver or coordinate engaging product training and onboarding sessions to help increase usage, confidence, and renewal readiness across your portfolio.
Build and manage a healthy new business pipeline — through inbound lead follow-up, proactive prospecting, referrals, and targeted outreach — and run discovery conversations, demos, and consultative sales meetings with teachers, school leaders, and other decision makers.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce (opportunities, activity, next steps, forecasts, renewal status) and track performance against agreed business goals — pipeline, conversion, ARR, engagement, and renewals.
Work closely with the Regional Manager EMEA to translate Italy market strategy into account-level actions, and collaborate with School Success, Growth, Product, Finance, and other internal teams to solve customer needs and deliver a consistent experience.
Coordinate effectively with Italian resellers and channel partners, recognizing that schools may need to purchase through approved partners and local processes.
Contribute to the Italian Edpuzzle community by sharing relevant local content, supporting engagement initiatives, and building relationships with educators and key stakeholders.
Gather customer and market feedback, identify patterns, and turn learnings into repeatable processes, playbooks, and recommendations.
Stay flexible to support additional regions when business priorities require it, using English or other relevant language skills, and travel occasionally within Italy to support schools and events on the ground.
Perform other duties as assigned.
About you
Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, customer success, business development, or a similar customer-facing role, with a track record of managing pipelines, customer portfolios, renewals, and measurable commercial targets.
Experience training or onboarding customers — running live sessions, workshops, or demos for groups, and helping people go from "just signed up" to confident daily users. Experience training teachers, students, or in an educational setting is a strong plus.
Native or bilingual proficiency in Italian and strong professional English communication skills are required, as you’ll interact with Italian schools, international colleagues, partners, and other stakeholders on a daily basis.
Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, communicate value, handle objections, and build credibility with teachers, school leaders, administrators, resellers, and partners.
Confident and engaging presenter, comfortable delivering product demonstrations, onboarding, training sessions, and workshops in both remote and in-person settings.
Organized, proactive, and data-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate information in Salesforce or a similar CRM, identify risks, and take ownership of opportunities and renewals from start to finish.
Experience in EdTech, the education sector, the Italian school system, community engagement, or working with resellers and public-sector purchasing processes would be a strong plus.
Bonus skills
Previous experience in EdTech or the education sector, particularly within the Italian market.
Experience training teachers, students, or in an educational setting is a strong plus.
Familiarity with the Italian education system, including grants, public-sector purchasing processes, resellers, and channel partners.
Experience creating localized content, supporting community initiatives, or engaging professional audiences through social media.
Spanish or other languages relevant to Edpuzzle's international markets is a plus.
… or another amazing skill you bring to the table that we haven’t thought of yet!

What We Do
WHO WE ARE Do you love learning? Does the idea of working for an EdTech company that was born in Silicon Valley and has offices in Barcelona and San Francisco excite you? Then Edpuzzle might just be your perfect fit. Used in over 50% of schools in the USA, Edpuzzle makes it easy for teachers to engage their students with interactive video lessons. We’re a small team of talented creatives (many of us former teachers) who got our start back in 2013 at ImagineK12, the first education incubator in the USA and now part of Y Combinator, where Airbnb and Dropbox were born. We have fantastic support from our teachers and investors, who allow us to continue growing our Edpuzzle community every day. WHAT WE DO We empower teachers to make any video their lesson with our easy-to-use video editing tools and beautiful, hassle-free analytics showing students’ results. In just a few clicks, teachers can turn any video into an engaging and effective lesson, and then see in real time which students understood the lesson and who needs help, thanks to the insightful student data Edpuzzle gathers. WHY WE DO IT We dream of a day where every teacher and student will be just a click away from an excellent online education, and we’re working to turn it into a reality. Together with the teachers in our Edpuzzle community, we’re creating a pool of incredible quality, inspiring video lessons for the classroom.
