Job Description
Main Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:
- Develop manufacturing processes, including workstations, equipment, and required tooling
- Develop new manufacturing lines based on information received from process or product transfers
- Quote and purchase new process equipment, as well as develop assembly fixtures
- Define and maintain takt time for each process and ensure line balancing
- Measure and implement actions to achieve Yield, Scrap, and minimum OEE targets according to performance evaluation goals
- Participate in the launch of new processes and production-required improvements
- Identify root causes of problems and implement process improvements, as well as preventive measures when necessary
- Follow up on, respond to, and close corrective actions and observations generated by process and product audits, as well as customer complaints
- Develop procedures with the required specifications for the product or its revisions
- Develop process sheets, routings, and equipment operating parameters
- Actively participate in pilot runs for the introduction of new models and/or validation of new components or processes
- Responsible for implementing engineering changes
- Responsible for controlling and maintaining process routings
- Review, control, and implement process deviations
Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Advanced English (mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of SMT processes
- Experience in process and equipment transfers
- Experience with Oracle ERP and internal traceability systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of time studies and line balancing
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet usage
- Experience creating Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Knowledge of SPC tools
- Experience creating process sheets
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools (5 Whys, 8D, etc.)
