Key Responsibilities
- Platform Operations: Provide day-to-day operational support for Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments hosting production trading and financial services applications.
- Automation & Operational Tooling: Use and maintain automation and deployment tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows to improve consistency and reduce manual operational effort.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform, or similar.
- Linux Systems Administration: Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and lifecycle support.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor platform and infrastructure health, respond to incidents, troubleshoot service issues, and assist with root cause analysis to reduce downtime and operational risk.
- Protocols & Core Infrastructure Services: Support authentication and directory services such as LDAP, Kerberos, and SSSD. Maintain and troubleshoot DNS services including BIND and CoreDNS, and support time synchronization using NTP, Chrony, and PTP.
- Cloud Operations: Support workloads in AWS and Azure, including troubleshooting issues related to compute, networking, storage, access, and security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Enterprise Hardware & Storage Support: Support infrastructure running on Dell PowerEdge servers and assist in maintaining enterprise storage platforms, including performance monitoring, replication support, and capacity tracking.
- Developer Platform Support: Support GitHub Enterprise and related integrations, including SonarQube, Artifactory, and GitHub Actions runners.
- Change, Patch, and Release Support: Execute system changes, platform updates, patching, and deployment-related activities in accordance with operational procedures and maintenance windows.
- Resilience & Compliance: Help maintain systems in line with financial industry requirements for security, availability, and operational resilience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams to support stable, secure, and reliable platform services.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in Linux systems administration, infrastructure operations, platform support, or a similar technical operations role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes in production or non-production environments.
- Experience supporting Linux systems in an enterprise environment, including patching, troubleshooting, upgrades, and basic performance tuning.
- Familiarity with incident response, operational support, and service restoration in production environments.
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure infrastructure services.
- Understanding of authentication services, DNS, and time synchronization concepts in distributed environments.
- Experience with enterprise server hardware and storage platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and developer platform tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise, SonarQube, Artifactory, or GitHub Actions runners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
Skills Required
