The Role:
This hands-on role, suited for someone who has a strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, cloud technologies, troubleshooting skills and who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment to optimise system performance.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Infrastructure and Engineering Teams, assisting in the day-to-day performance management of the infrastructure, providing operational expertise and guidance to improve system efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including network, hardware and software problems.
Implementing and maintaining security policies, patch updates and mitigating security threats
Methodical approach in applying system changes and updates to minimise operational risks.
Work with datacenter and cloud technologies.
Participate in an on-call roster.
Ideal Qualifications:
Knowledge of Linux operating systems
Knowledge in Virtualisation Technology
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
Experience in scripting (Shell, Bash, PowerShell etc)
Experience with Ansible or similar tools.
Experience with AWS (Certification is required)
Nice to Have:
Experience in preventing and mitigating Security Risks
A passion for open source technologies.
Knowledge with developers tools (JIRA, Git, Teamcity etc)
Excellent documentation skills.
