What you’ll be doing

We’re seeking a security-focused Infrastructure Engineer with public cloud experience. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will build and scale the foundations for payments platform engineering, developer operations, and deployments. You will build tooling for engineers that depend on these systems—deployment, load balancers, web apps, databases—while keeping them highly available, secure, and performant.

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and secure Kubernetes clusters on AWS
• Develop and implement security best practices for the entire infrastructure stack, including network, storage, and compute resources
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS security policies, IAM policies, and WAF
• Design, implement, and maintain secure network and VPN connections between Kubernetes clusters and other resources
• Develop and implement automated security monitoring and incident response workflows for the infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire infrastructure stack
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that security and infrastructure requirements are included in the design and implementation of applications

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure security design and implementation
• Expertise in Kubernetes and AWS
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Loki, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Strong knowledge of network security, routing, firewalling, and VPNs
• Solid understanding of container security, including Kubernetes security policies, Docker security, and container scanning
• Can speak to the difference between OPA and Kyverno
• Can explain when Terraform is not the best tool for the job
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with financial systems and/or startups
• [Bonus] CKS certified Kubernetes Security Specialist
• [Bonus] Experience developing solutions in Go
