DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Oversee the full lifecycle of vendor product delivery, including initial design, implementation, testing, automation, and deployment to production. administer, tune and maintain Operating Systems and Database systems. Manipulate, structure, design data flows, and optimize queries using programming languages. Develop microservices to automate network implementations leveraging Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Create tools and scripts for data transfer utilizing structured data formats and service payloads. Design, develop, integrate, and deploy new network-automation tools to accelerate network infrastructure deployments across diverse devices and vendors. Develop and deploy applications in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Evaluate, test, and integrate third-party tools and applications to ensure seamless, reliable, and highly available end-to-end customer service. Review and enhance existing tools for improved performance and functionality. Support customer onboarding for new products including documentation, training for engineering teams, customers, and end-users. Build and maintain dynamic, interactive dashboards and monitoring tools for observability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Data Engineer, Datawarehouse Analyst/Lead Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Assistant Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Data Engineer, Datawarehouse Analyst/Lead Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Assistant Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Delivering vendor products including curated versions of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System based Virtual-Machines (VM) and Oracle Database Systems from initial design, prototyping, evaluating, performance- tuning, capacity-planning, forecasting, testing, administering and implementation to production deployment; Utilizing Operating System and Database Administration for deploying vendor applications and associated database schemas on Oracle 19c based database offerings to ensure seamless, reliable, and highly available end-to-end customer service; Developing, building, maintaining and monitoring and observability tools and interactive dashboards using Grafana and Dynatrace; Performing statistical log analysis using Splunk; Performing data manipulation, data analysis, structuring, data design flow, and query optimization using database query languages including SQL and building and utilizing APIs; Using programming languages including Python to perform network-automation; Performing Network-Analysis using tools including nmap and tcpdump; Designing and developing interactive Excel/PPT reports with advanced functionalities including lookup, index match and data analysis add-ons; Conducting structured troubleshooting and debugging to systematically resolve common issues in Java-based applications. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Hosting and deploying logs, configurations and other associated artifacts in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
