Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and documentation (e.g., summarizing monitoring findings), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion.
- Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters.
- Escalates issues to appropriate leaders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Working knowledge of using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling expectations.
- Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and software languages such as Python, Java, Bash, Shell.
- Proficient knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met.
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting file transfer protocols, ciphers, and encryption (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2).
- Experience in Production Support, testing and debugging of automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure).
- Experience with developing frameworks that reduce operational toil or application technical debt while maintaining a high degree of system availability.
- Knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, PERL Scripting, and SQL.
- Basic data fluency and automation knowledge.
