Your future role within QRT: 

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the firm's Research Platform. This role involves a passion for creating workflow-driven software solutions, a robust Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) mindset, and a focus on implementing and designing software to facilitate an orchestration-driven approach to managing resources. 

• Develop and maintain software solutions that support the firm's high performance compute activities. 

• Implement and design software to facilitate an orchestration-driven approach to managing resources at scale. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. 

• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software development practices remain cutting-edge. 

Your present skill set: 

• Strong software engineering advocating Test Driven Development, Object Oriented Programming, Software Design and Architecture, Release Management 

• Solid Familiarity with Golang 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

• A passion and desire to learn new technologies, practises and approaches 

• CI/CD Tools (GitLab, GitHub Actions etc) 

• Experience with deploying Event Driven Architecture 

• Exposure to workflow Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Temporal etc 

• Data / Metrics Visualisation – Grafana, Splunk, Kibana 

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, to build and deploy scalable applications. 

• Metrics Capture – Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Splunk 

• Interest in computer hardware and data centres, particularly high-performance computing environments.
