THE WORK:
Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using Informix 4GL and SQL.
Design and implement database structures to support business applications.
Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Work with Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) to manage and optimize databases.
Develop and enhance user interfaces and reports for business applications.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot application issues to ensure stability and performance.
Collaborate with DBAs and system administrators to improve database efficiency.
Modernize and migrate legacy Informix 4GL applications to newer platforms where necessary.
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with company policies.
Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and development processes.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Strong experience in Informix 4GL programming and Informix Dynamic Server (IDS).
Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures (SPL), and database optimization.
Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
Knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with integration of Informix 4GL applications with other systems (ERP, APIs, etc.).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting application and database issues.
Experience with modernizing legacy Informix applications is a plus.
Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required
