INTECON is seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Specialist to support the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) through its upcoming IDIQ contract. The IT Specialist will provide technical support services, helping to ensure seamless operation of systems and tools used in analytic, research, and reporting projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in IT systems administration, troubleshooting, user support, and data management, and will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and federal clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide IT software and computer support services for MACPAC-related projects and task orders.
- Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network systems used in research and analysis.
- Support secure data management practices in alignment with MACPAC and federal guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of virtual workspaces, collaboration tools, and remote access systems.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and user support to project teams and clients.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements for digital deliverables.
- Assist with documentation of IT procedures and system configurations.
- Support MACPAC contractors in meeting data security and confidentiality standards.
- 3+ years of experience in information technology and computer support services.
- Proficiency with common IT systems, including Windows, Microsoft Office 365, cloud-based collaboration platforms, and data storage/transfer tools.
- Experience supporting secure computing environments and adhering to federal data security policies.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and related accessibility standards.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Prior experience providing IT support on federal research contracts.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and CHIP data environments or supporting health policy research teams.
- Experience supporting IDIQ contracts or multi-vendor collaborative projects.
- Knowledge of tools commonly used in data analysis environments(e.g., SAS, R, Stata, Tableau, Python).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
