Summary:

This position is responsible for onsite implementation and support of organizational, departmental, and end-user systems and applications in a clinical and business environment. Exhibits strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.  Installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, tests, and integrates complex computer equipment and healthcare systems.  Coordinates information system priorities and implements projects and tasks. Takes initiative and collaborates with other IT resources to resolve problems. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology or other relevant computer technology.

Must have at least two (2) years of end-user desktop application support experience or other similar experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead others, and to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in a wide range of circumstances.
  • Must provide own transportation. Ability to travel to any area of the organization, both local and remote as needed.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical assistance to computer system users.
  • Solves technical problems dealing including PC, printers, networking, and desktop applications.
  • Attends and actively participates in technical meetings.
  • Responds to customer calls and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner. Escalates calls appropriately and work with other technical resources to ensure customer issues and concerns are addressed.
  • Use standard tools, knowledge, and experience to analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical problems.
  • Attends and completes educational sessions, both mandatory and elective.
  • Provides technical training to the end users.
  • Maintains existing support documentation as needed.
  • Completes assigned goals.

Physical Demands/Conditions:

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Technician will be subject in this position: The Technician is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.

Salary is based on experience

Salary Range: $18.50 - $25.00 an hour
