This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, network architecture, and vulnerability analysis to safeguard national defense operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cyber & Communications Assessments: Perform in-depth technical audits and vulnerability assessments of computer networks, operational technology (OT) systems, and telecommunications infrastructure supporting USAF Mission Assurance programs.
  • Threat Identification & Risk Mitigation: Analyze network vulnerabilities, assess the impact on mission-critical systems, and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect Department of Defense (DoD) assets.
  • Compliance & Standards Enforcement: Ensure all assessments align with DoDI 3020.45, DoDM 8140.03, Joint Publications 3-13 & 3-12, and other relevant cybersecurity policies and directives.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting: Deliver detailed assessment reports that capture vulnerabilities, provide actionable recommendations, and inform leadership on the security posture of critical systems.
  • Network Architecture Review: Evaluate computer network design, system architecture, and data flow diagrams to identify potential weaknesses and enhance security measures.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cybersecurity teams, mission assurance specialists, and USAF leadership to integrate findings and improve system resilience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent operational experience).
  • Certifications:
    • IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GICSP, or equivalent).
    • CSSP Analyst computing environment certification as defined by DoDM 8140.03.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Comprehensive understanding of computer network architecture, including system design and network diagramming.
    • Hands-on experience with vulnerability and compliance analysis tools (e.g., Nessus, ACAS, HBSS, or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of cyber operations aligned with Joint Publication 3-13 (Information Operations) and 3-12 (Cyberspace Operations).
