JOB SUMMARY

Provide technical support and operational assistance for network connectivity, information systems, hardware, printers, and software applications for UW staff and volunteers. Assist in the administration, maintenance, and security of the organization's technology infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, network systems, endpoints, and cloud-based platforms. Support cyber security initiatives and training. Support annual campaign and online giving platforms.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Perform help desk duties and provide necessary assistance with hardware, systems, software, printers and copiers. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, repair or escalate as needed.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues within the ticketing system.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Automate, and Office applications
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology setup for employees.
  • Assist in monitoring, maintaining and implementing controls, policies, procedures and training for organization cyber security 
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of all system documentation, programming documentation, and in-house training guides.
  • Provide Audio Video systems support for meeting rooms and provide in meeting AV support for presentations.
  • Support campaign online giving platforms
  • Support campaign materials printing, packing and supplies inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP Information Services or Senior Leadership.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in related field of study, or related industry certifications, bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical support
  • Experience in operating and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit environment is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities and problem-solve issues as they arise.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Normal nonprofit office environment with little exposure to dust, noise and extreme temperatures.
  • Extended work on personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
  • Reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events locally, routinely and around the state and nationally, occasionally.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:15 am to 4:45 pm work week with occasional evening and weekend hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sedentary work on a PC; sitting for extended periods of time, routinely. 
  • Movement within the office and during external meetings and events, regularly.
  • Bends, stoops and twists, occasionally.
