The Role:
ElevateBio is looking for a curious, self-motivated student who wants more exposure to the cybersecurity field while working with a small, experienced information security team. You will report to the Head of Information Security.
Here’s What You Will Do:
You will focus on helping us as we build our security governance program maturing our practices on our journey to ISO27001 certification and as we adopt Vanta as a hub for these activities. Potential projects include:
- Curating and moving our policy library from SharePoint to Vanta.
- Working with the security team to introduce vendor risk management practices and establishing them in Vanta.
- Evolving our current IT risk management processes into a “living” risk registry in Vanta.
As a small team, we want you to take as much responsibility for these activities as you are ready for. While the focus is on Governance, Risk, and Compliance, you will also have an opportunity to participate in security operations tasks using industry-standard security tools and assisting with security awareness activities.
Requirements:
- Must be a college student with a major, minor, or interest in cybersecurity/ information security, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- Well-organized with demonstrated experience breaking down projects into smaller tasks and executing them.
- A self-starter who seeks out problems and offers solutions.
- A problem solver who is not afraid to be wrong sometimes.
- Good communications skills with an interest in improving them.
